I thrive on organisation. At the same time, I sometimes feel like I have so much on my mind that I’m bound to forget something.
I first downloaded TripCase when planning my holiday to Thailand. With so many flights, hotels and tours booked I needed a place to keep everything in order. Looking back, this little app made planning and enjoying my trip so much simpler.
Please note this post is not sponsored by TripCase. I am just so happy that I’d like to share it with you.
Starting your experience
TripCase is available as an iPhone/Android app, and also has a website option as well. Create a profile by simply linking to your Facebook account, or entering your details.
Inputting your trip details
This is the easiest part – just forward your email confirmations for flights, hotels and tours to email@example.com and the information is automatically entered for your trip!
On the rare occasion, this feature will not work (i.e. when you book through sketchy online agencies), but you will receive an email notification and can then just enter your details manually.
Additionally, you have the option to input your own notes. I found this especially helpful for adding walking directions or random reminders like “hotel is pre-paid” or “remember to bring xyz on the tour”.
Sharing your trip
One of my favourite features is the ability to share your itinerary via email. For my trip to Thailand, I shared with my mom (since she was coming with me) and my boyfriend (so he would know where I was). Every time you make updates, new notifications are sent so that everyone is always up-to-date.
Using while travelling
The app can be used offline, which is always a bonus when you’re in a foreign country. Having my reservation details, confirmation numbers and personally added notes, in the palm of my hand made the trip hassle-free.
I have now started using TripCase to plan my upcoming trip to India and am falling in love with it all over again. My advice – download the app, give it a try when planning your next trip and let me know how it goes!
